At least two civilians were killed and others wounded in Ukraine as Russian troops shelled front lines and other parts of the country, local authorities said Saturday.
In Kryvyi Rog, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in the center of the country, a 60-year-old man died on Friday night after a Russian missile hit an industrial complex, according to publications by the mayor, Oleksandr Vilkul, on Telegram. The deceased’s wife was hospitalized with serious shrapnel wounds, he added.
Early Saturday, Vilkul reported that Russian missiles and drones attacked the same location overnight, causing unspecified damage and a fire that was put out in the morning. The councilor did not offer further details about the nature of the site or whether it was related to kyiv’s war effort, but indicated that the second attack caused no injuries.
