Officers responded to a reported attempted burglary in the Calais building of Legacy Apartments at 3:11 a.m. The resident said the person tried to enter the apartment through an unlocked window, but when the resident made himself known the person ran away.

Nov. 9

A female student reported a group of other female students yelled at her as they passed by in a car. She said this was not the first time the group did this.

Nov. 8

Dallin Cook, 18, from Chalmette; Andrew Sullivan, 18, from Metairie; and Zachary Nagy, 19, from River Ridge were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia when officers found them in a car during a foot patrol of Olivier Parking Tower. The officers collected a silver grinder, a container of marijuana, a glass pipe with marijuana, a joint of marijuana and 2.3 grams of marijuana.

Someone reported a person was attempting to steal a bike with a hand saw outside of Edith Garland Dupré Library. Officers were unable to find the person.

Christopher Roth, 18, from Mandeville, and Christopher Campbell, 19, from Metairie, were arrested for possession of schedule I drugs and paraphernalia in Coronna Hall. Officers confiscated a brown box with marijuana wax and a bong. The two men were released on misdemeanor summons.

Nov. 7

Rex Herpin, 19, from Baton Rouge, was arrested for simple criminal damage to property and simple battery for damaging a dorm room door. He was issued a misdemeanor summons.
