A terrible suspicion, that of a macabre discovery of a body. Instead, what was found inside a suitcase was not a human body, but a sex doll. The strange case comes from Australia, where an entire task force made up of investigators, agents and forensic experts was used to establish that those “remains” did not belong to a woman, but to a sexy doll, so realistic that it was initially mistaken for the victim of a murder.
The case in Australia
As reported by local media, in recent days two men found a suspicious suitcase abandoned in the bushes on a country road, with what appeared to be a human body inside. After the discovery, the complaint was made and, immediately afterwards, the investigative machine was set in motion which, at the end of the investigations, clarified that the body was not human, but artificial.
The realistic doll
As explained by New South Wales Police Superintendent Linda Bradbury to the ABC broadcaster, tests soon proved the truth: “She was initially mistaken for a human being. These dolls are very realistic in appearance and therefore the fragments found looked like human remains.” Forensic examinations found that it was in fact a lifelike mannequin, complete with clothes, hair and a nose piercing. Further complicating matters was the fact that the doll “also had marks that resembled bruises and scratches,” police said in a statement. “The investigations are concluded”, the police had to admit.
