A man running towards the beach and, a few meters behind him, the enormous shape of a tuna that continues to advance in the increasingly shallow water. Then the fish reaches the shoreline and remains practically stranded, while dozens of swimmers approach to understand what is happening.
The unusual scene was filmed on Saturday 8 August on El Ancón beach, in Marbella, one of the best-known tourist resorts on the Spanish Costa del Sol.
It remains to be understood why an animal of that size arrived so close to the coast. According to some testimonies collected by 101TV Málagathe tuna would have been injured or otherwise in difficulty, a circumstance which could explain its anomalous behavior.
Again according to the stories released together with the videos, some swimmers subsequently intervened to try to put the fish back into the sea, pushing it from the shoreline also with the help of chairs and sunbeds. The specimen would thus have managed to return to the water.
