Several people have died and others have been injured in a serious road accident involving a tourist bus in eastern Switzerland. The crash occurred along the road that connects Susch and Zernez, two municipalities in the canton of Grisons.

The cantonal police reported the accident, but at the moment they have not communicated a precise toll or provided information on the identity and nationality of the victims. “Several people died in the bus accident in Susch. Several others were injured,” the authorities reported in a message published on X.
Rescuers and law enforcement intervened at the scene of the accident. The causes and exact dynamics of the incident still remain to be clarified. It was not even specified how many people in total were on board the vehicle.
According to reports in the Swiss press, the bus belongs to the Dutch tourist company Oad, which organizes coach trips to various European destinations. However, no official information was released on the itinerary followed by the group or on the country of origin of the passengers.
The Farnesina took action to verify the possible presence of Italian citizens on board the bus. The investigations are underway through the Italian diplomatic and consular network in Switzerland. At the moment there is no confirmation on the presence of compatriots among the victims or injured.
