The seventh edition of the event presents itself in a new guise: ten days and over 70 events that will take place from 6 to 15 September between music, nature, sustainability and well-being. Guests include Ron and the leader of Marlene Kuntz Cristiano Godano


On the Paganella Plateau everything is ready to welcome the seventh edition of FootprintsThe Festival of the Pathsthe event which takes place entirely along the paths of Make Paganella and that fills the woods with music, flavors, theater, art and meetings. The event presents itself this year in a totally new and enriched guise, passing, after the success of the previous editions, from a weekend to a ten-day event that will animate the territory from 6th to 15th September in the company of great guests, such as the singer-songwriter and musician Ron and the leader of the Marlene Kuntz Christian Godano.

Over 70 events scheduled which will see the focus on dualism between nature, that knows how to amaze, surprise and frighten, and themanwhich allies and opposes the first, trying to dominate it, understand it and overwhelm it.

“Footprints It is much more than a simple event. It is a journey into the heart of our history and our traditions, an invitation to leave a positive mark on the world, to connect with nature and our roots and with the emotions that we often find only by moving away from the frenzy of everyday life“, explains Luke D’Angelo, Director of the Apt Paganella Dolomites. “This year, with the seventh edition dedicated to the dialogue between man and nature, we want to celebrate the beauty of our forests and the richness of our cultural heritage, questioning ourselves at the same time about the ongoing climate changes and our role, about the actions we can take to take care of the nature that surrounds us. It is a unique opportunity to slow down the pace, rediscover the value of time and find a sense of belonging.”.

Events dedicated to music
Many the musical moments scheduled for this edition of Orme. Friday September 6thto kick off the dance, will be David Locatelli with a pop piano concert. Saturday September 7th it’s the turn of “In the mood for love”: a walking route to be undertaken at sunset accompanied by the love notes of the quintet Le fil rouge; the evening will finally end with the great voice of Ron and the concert “At the exact center of music”.

To unite music and nature, Sunday September 8thwill instead be the Forest Sound walkingthe walk to the Parco del Respiro which, through the use of Wi-Fi headphones, will lead to an experience entirely dedicated to the senses: while hearing will be engaged in listening to a special musical track, on the one hand sight, smell and touch will allow you to experience a total immersion in the beech forest, on the other taste and sixth sense will be accompanied in a unique experience by the expert guides of the park.

Tuesday September 10th Footsteps continue with “Meeting and Music”an event that will see the protagonist Christian Godano, leader of Marlene Kuntzand which will be an opportunity to talk about art and sustainability.

Friday September 13ththe musical reading with voice and cello will be staged “Of the moon, stars and other wonders”: a journey through time that crosses space and history to tell the mysteries, wonders and immensity of the Universe. It will follow on Saturday September 14th, “SOUL”the project to create a string quartet in white fir from Avez del Prinzep: a story to be discovered with the narration and artistic direction of Giovanni Costantini. In the evening, Orme continues with the “Cinepiano”: an audiovisual experience that will lead to the discovery of great cinema classics accompanied by the piano of international artist Tony Berchmans, who will perform the soundtrack live.

Meetings dedicated to nature and well-being
The binomial “man and nature” will be explored in depth, during the ten days, through events, meetings and dedicated paths. Among these, “Doors to the Woods”: a path created with the scientific contribution of the climatologist Luca Mercalli which will be an opportunity for meeting and collective reflection (September 7thstarting from the Meriz Refuge). The September 14th it’s the turn of “Master Trees”an itinerant and experiential performance that leads to the discovery of the world of trees and plants, recounting their complexity, intelligence and incredible ability to analyze and resolve complex situations, to act in a network and to deal with traumas and aggressions. The relationship between man and nature will also be at the center of the performance “(Un)tied”The September 15th: a true story of extreme mountaineering and survival.

Guest of Orme, the September 13threcently returned from 4 months of travel, also Yanez Borellawho will share the story of another of his adventures: “Soul Bears”conceived in 2021 in collaboration with James Meneghellowith the scientific contribution of the MUSE – Science Museum and the support of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park.

Moments of reflection on the potential relationship between nature and the bio-psycho-social well-being will be the protagonists of Wednesday’s meeting September 11th “The care of the forest”a round table discussion with the participation of Gianluca Cepollaro of TSM-ADM Accademia della Montagna, the anthropologist and expert on the Alps Annibale Salsa, the writer and essayist Marco Albino Ferrari and the director of the Mountain Basins Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento Mario Cerrato; moderated by the journalist and writer Monica Malfatti.

These events will be accompanied by daily forest bathing activities Breath Park and moments of connection with nature enriched by insights into themes related to wellness and care of the mind, spirit and body that will see the participation of experts from all over Italy. Among them Marco Bo, specialized in nutrition, Luigi Gatti, expert in traditional medicine through Shinrin Yoku and Japanese culture, and Leonardo Paoluzzi, expert in traditional Chinese medicine.

Other moments of connection with nature can be experienced by practicing yoga, meditation, metaphysical orienteering, Nordic Forest Walking or by taking part in the barefoot walking workshop with the expert Andrea Bianchi or, together with Sara Compagniat the bodyflow class to improve joint mobility.

Events for families
There will be no shortage of activities for children and familiesstarting from creative workshop in the woods on Friday September 6thwhich will accompany the little ones in an experience of building shelters and dens for goblins and other fantastic creatures. The day will continue with the trail “The giant seekers: a fantastic tale”: an adventurous excursion in the forest in search of giants between narration and theater.

Among other itineraries dedicated to children, the September 7thThe Path with Little Red Riding Hoodthe theatrical trekking that will allow you to immerse yourself in one of the most beloved fairy tales of all time; Path of Friendship: “The Aviator”dedicated to the story of the Little Prince; or the path Selva and FagusThe September 9thto discover the fantastic inhabitants of the Parco del Respiro.

The little ones, moreover, will be able to take part in a picnic to relax at the end of the Potato Trail; live an experience of Forest Bathing with the familyfor a walk dedicated to the relationship between parents and children; or try out the “Petra box” experience first hand with the Sassi association, to discover the secrets of dry stone walls.

Orme will also host the September 12ththe pedagogist Maurizia Scalettiwhich will hold a meeting dedicated to the forest and its ability to improve relationships in children, and the September 15th “Hansel and Gretel” by Campsirago Residenzaa traveling and experiential show that transforms into a real adventure to be experienced first-hand.

Thematic events on traditions and flavours

Finally, during Orme, you will be able to discover How is mountain pine distilled?with Fior di Mugo and there will be no shortage of gastronomic moments, such as the “Path of Flavors Among the Huts” or the lunch that will follow the Desmontegada of the cows returning from the pasturesscheduled as the closing event for Sunday September 15th. Among the other events dedicated to flavours there is also the workshop to learn how to make strudelthat Saturday September 14th will be presented on four different occasions through a collective performance of theatre and cooking.
