confuses Zelensky with "Putin" and Kamala with "Trump"

At the crucial moment of the campaign, with dozens of Dems in the field asking for him to step down, Biden he confused Volodymyr Zelensky with Vladimir Putin. Here is his speech during the NATO event: “Now the president of Ukraine who has a lot of courage and determination: ladies and gentlemen, President Putin”. The Ukrainian president’s face says it all, at least until Biden’s correction: “Putin? No, President Zelensky, I’m so focused on Putin, that’s what we need to worry about anyway”. The US president then added, laughing it off: “You are definitely much better”.

Other world leaders have come to Biden’s aid. “We all have slips of the tongue. He is precise on the dossiers, he knows them well,” the French president downplayed. Emmanuel Macron. Instead, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said: “I saw him well, he is lucid but I avoid interference, with him an excellent NATO summit”. It must be said, however, that in addition to passing off Putin as Zelensky, he also confused Kamala Harris with Donald Trump. And of course everyone has slips, but few leaders in the world have a string of them like him. To whom, moreover, and this cannot leave us indifferent, the de facto leadership of the Western world is entrusted.

Regardless, the next few hours could be decisive. Without the support of the Democratic leaders and without the funds for the campaign, it cannot be ruled out a sensational step backwards less than four months before the vote. The left has clear ideas: without a change of horse, Trump will have an easy life, Biden’s conditions do not allow for any hope of a comeback. And there is no shortage of alternatives, starting with the much-hyped Michelle Obama, with former president Barack ready to play a leading role behind the scenes. He, however, does not seem to want to give up: “I am the most qualified person to beat Trump. I have no intention of withdrawing, unless someone shows me that I have no chance of winning, data in hand. But no poll supports this fact and the campaign is just beginning”.

Another bad sign for Biden comes from bookmakers. After the blunder with Zelensky, the odds tied to a change of candidate have collapsed. In particular, the odds of the aforementioned Obama, Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom have dropped. And we know, bookies rarely get it wrong…
