Our virtual diet is now increasingly rich. From Instagram to Tiktok, passing through YouTube And Facebook, the apps used by Italians are more and more. In this sense, being forced to give up our applications could be unpleasant news. In Europe, however, these same platforms will be affected by a revolution as large as it is important. The access methods will change: this is what we will have to do to continue using the following applications.

To make clamor in the last few hours, in particular, are the new rules for social media platforms on European soil. In short, from the next July 1st I will be a new app to download compulsorily to be able to continue accessing services such as Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram, but also X and YouTube. This new app will be a free software, the use of which does not provide for the sharing of any data. A solution that seems temporary but on which there can be no shortcut. To take advantage of these services, the user cannot fail to have this software. But not only. All the residents of the European Union from 1 July will be obliged to use a new age verification app to access some websites.

According to the news that come from the EU, this is only a provisional passage that anticipates the real revolution: the transition to digital identity. Starting from next year the so -called digital identity portfolio will be made active.

The European Commission has already made it known that it will be a practical and complete tool, useful both for accessing public services and private ones. A sort of new start for the European digital era and therefore also Italian.
