November 11, 2011 is a date carved in the long history of video games. That day came out The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimwithout a shadow of a doubt one of the most famous products in the sector. It took seven years to have some information on the sequel, in the form of a very short trailer and the writing The Elder Scrolls VI. Since then, nothing. But perhaps – and it is a great perhaps – fans can return to hope.
According to some leak quite authoritative and reported by several newspapers, it seems that the series development house, the Bethesdahas planned the output of the video game for the late 2027. No official confirmations have not yet arrived, but the date is plausible. The development of Tes 6 came to life in 2023, after the release of Starfieldand, always according to rumors of the corridor, the product would be playable. A fundamental step over the creation of the game, however, which however leaves fans with a bit of bitterness in the mouth because, given the (certainly) enormous dimensions of the project, it could mean everything or nothing.
For the moment, it is not known even in which region of Tamriel – the fantastic world in which the games of the series are set – will be set Tes 6nor do you have details on the gameplay or the plot. In the last summer, rumors had spread shortly trailerbut it never happened.
This infinite story has become one of the meme best known in the videogame world. Skyrim It has been re-advertised on each new generation of consoles, also in a remastered version, so many times that Bethesda herself ironized years ago, with a fake trailer, its release for Alexa and on Smart refrigerators. And with the surprise release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remasteredthe anthem of all fans of the saga became: “We had Oblivion before Tes 6”. Who knows if the new chapter of the role -playing game will come out before Gran Theft Auto 6. Perhaps it is that number that is cursed.
The problem, however, is that the products with such a long development story are unlikely to be of quality, or at least able to play on par with their predecessors. The last Dragon Age It is a clear example.
It can only be hoped that Bethesda does not make the same errors as the Bioware because, after more than ten years of waiting, receiving a bad game would make the company lose a great slice of his fanbase, if not all.
