The Bestå wall unit will cost up to 26% less, the Kallax shelf will be “discounted” by 29% and the historic Poäng armchair will have a 12.5% lower price. And the list doesn’t end here: Ikea Italia will lower the price of hundreds of products with an average reduction of 22%. This is the Swedish company’s “anti-inflation” move, which is part of the broader 1.2 billion euro European plan, promoted by Ingka Group (which groups together almost all the franchises), which plans to reduce the prices of around 1,500 items by up to 28%.
Ikea lowers prices
The new reductions follow the investment already made in 2024, when prices were lowered across all global markets. This year, however, the initiative focuses on Europe, with a selection of products and a reduction in costs that will vary from market to market. Which products will have a reduction? Among the items affected by the reductions are some of the most famous and loved symbols of Ikea design, which include living room solutions, equipped walls and kitchen accessories.
“Discounted” products
The Kallax cube shelf, extremely versatile, linear and positionable both vertically and horizontally as a room divider, records a price reduction of up to 29%, with its 77 x 147 cm version now available at 55 euros.
The iconic Poäng armchair, in production for around 50 years and characterized by a flexible structure in curved wood with a springing effect and removable covers, undergoes a reduction of 12.5%, dropping to the price of 69.95 euros.
The Kivik modular sofa, equipped with deep memory foam seats, pocket springs and low armrests, entirely removable and washable, is offered starting from 299 euros, with a 25% cut on the two-seater version.
As regards the organization of spaces, the Bestå modular system of equipped walls and TV units, with integrated cable management and 10-year guarantee, sees an average reduction of 26% across the entire family of structures. Finally, the Ikea 365+ line, which includes pots, pans and containers for storing food which have become allies of millions of consumers, also records an average reduction of 26%.
