Teufel presented Ikonio, a new Wi-Fi speaker designed to offer a Hi-Fi level listening experience in an ultra-compact all-in-one format.
With Ikonio, design and technology meet in a solution designed to integrate
harmoniously in every space without sacrificing style. With a footprint of just 30 x 30 cm, a height of 38 cm and a distinctive design, the speaker fits into any environment, even small ones. Freedom of positioning is a further distinctive feature: Ikonio can be placed on a low base or freely in the room using the optional stand.
The structure also contributes to the acoustic performance. The two 200 mm woofers are arranged in an opposing and balanced manner to compensate for the vibrations generated by their movement, even at high volume levels. A digital signal processor (DSP) precisely manages the eight amplification channels, coordinating the work of the drivers and ensuring faithful reproduction of even the most subtle sound nuances. Finally, the advanced passive cooling system allows completely silent operation, without fans.
Technical characteristics
- 3-way active system: eight independent amplification channels drive a speaker array composed of three tweeters, three midrange speakers and two subwoofers (650 watts Rms, 2,500 watts peak, up to 118 dB Spl peak).
- Deep bass: the two 200 mm woofers opposed in a sealed cabinet with
force-balanced design, reduce vibrations of the structure and allow frequencies up to 19 Hz (-6 dB) to be reached. - Broad connectivity: Direct control via AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, TuneIn Internet Radio and Bluetooth 5.1, as well as via an RCA input and optical input.
- Smart control: the touch panel is equipped with automatic illumination of the controls via proximity sensors, the Teufel Home app allows access to further functions.
Dynamore Ultra technology
The proprietary Dynamore Ultra technology allows you to adapt the sound diffusion to the environment and listening mode, through three settings:
- Immersive Mode: Creates a wide and deep soundstage. Even when used individually, Ikonio offers a high-resolution audio experience, with natural and detailed reproduction.
- Omnidirectional Mode: The speaker transforms into a 360-degree sound center, radiating sound evenly into space. Ideal when Ikonio is positioned freely in the room and listening takes place from different points, maintaining a homogeneous performance regardless of the position.
- Mono mode: in this configuration Dynamore Ultra is deactivated and Ikonio concentrates its sound power frontally. This direct projection meets classic hi-fi requirements and is intended to be the basis for wireless stereo operation with two units.
