Molotov bombs at the wedding, Lamborghinis and McLarens on fire

Three men dressed in black, some incendiary devices thrown among the guests and two supercars engulfed in flames. It is the scene captured by security cameras in front of the Royal Shalimar, a large reception hall in Birmingham, United Kingdom, where a wedding was taking place on Wednesday evening.

The attack occurred around 8.30pm on August 19 on Highgate Road in the Sparkbrook neighbourhood. In the videos, some men are seen approaching the structure and throwing what appear to be incendiary devices towards the entrance and the cars parked in front of the hall. Within a few seconds the flames broke out and the guests began to flee.

According to reconstructions in the British press, five incendiary bombs were thrown: some towards the people who were outside the structure, others against cars. The images show how the attack could have had more serious consequences. In fact, some of the bombs fell very close to the guests. In one video, a person even tries to kick one of the burning objects away. Hundreds of people were inside the structure, including families with children.

Investigators are looking for three men who, after the attack, fled in a white Volkswagen Golf. At the moment there have been no arrests and above all the motive remains unknown. The police did not indicate whether the target was the bride and groom, some of the guests, the venue or the expensive cars parked outside.

The episode was also relaunched on social networks with reconstructions according to which there was a feud within the Pakistani community of Birmingham behind the attack.
