Apple presented the new 14″ MacBook Pro with the very powerful M6 processor on board. Below are all the features, availability and prices.
M6 chip: Lightning-fast performance and on-device AI capabilities
The M6 chip brings better performance and superior AI capabilities to the 14-inch MacBook Pro with a powerful 12-core CPU, a 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerator in each core, a 16-core Dual Neural Engine, and faster unified memory.
The CPU and GPU, both 12-core, now have two more cores. Furthermore, the GPU offers up to 30% faster graphics performance than the M5. The 16-core Dual Neural Engine delivers up to 1.9x faster performance than M5 and works together with the GPU to dramatically accelerate AI workloads. The 14″ MacBook Pro with M6 does all this with industry-leading performance per watt and up to 24 hours of battery life, the best ever in a Mac. With 16GB of unified memory as standard, configurable up to 32GB, and up to 170GBps of memory bandwidth, MacBook Pro makes multitasking even faster and lets you work even faster with demanding apps and large projects.
Other features
Nothing new for the excellent 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, with 1,600 nits of HDR brightness and a contrast of 1,000,000:1. Those who work in intense or suboptimal light conditions can also choose the nanotexture display, which significantly reduces reflections.
Improved wireless connectivity. The 14″ MacBook Pro integrates Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 technologies for fast wireless performance and low latency, and supports up to two external monitors. Thanks to the presence of a versatile series of ports, including an HDMI, a MagSafe 3 port, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SD card slot and a headphone jack, connecting high-speed peripherals, transferring photos or expanding the work area is very easy.
MacBook Pro with M6 supports fast charging. By combining a compatible USB-C power supply, such as the 96W one, 30 minutes are enough to reach 50% charge.
Prices and availability
The new 14″ MacBook Pro with M6 is available to pre-order now. Deliveries will begin on Friday, November 6. The 14″ MacBook Pro with M6 is available starting at €2,349.
