Motorola, a brand of the Lenovo group, has unveiled the Razr Fold, its first folding smartphone. The device features a 6.6-inch external display that opens into a large 8.09-inch internal screen.
Despite offering an advanced camera system and the largest battery available in a foldable, the device is only 4.55mm thick when opened and 9.89mm when closed.
Its teardrop, stainless steel hinge protects the display and promises long-term structural integrity. Below the display, an internal titanium plate evenly distributes pressure on the fold, allowing the screen to return to its original shape after repeated uses and maintaining constant performance over time. Featuring ultra-thin glass and an anti-shock film, this advanced design has been tested to support over 10 years of daily use while maintaining a smooth, crease-free appearance. On the outside, Motorola Razr Fold is the first smartphone in the world to feature durable Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
The adaptive hinge design allows for multiple modes of use beyond fully open or closed positions, including laptop mode for typing and multitasking.
Featuring the brightest internal display of any foldable on the market, the device remains clearly visible even in bright, direct sunlight. Audio performance is enhanced by Dolby Atmos and Sound by Bose technology.
The device boasts advanced hardware. At the heart of the system is a next-generation 50Mp Sony main sensor, designed for cinematic video recording in Dolby Vision. We continue with the Sony 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom and optical image stabilization.
