After the presentation a few days ago, the time has come for our test of the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition. Smartphone inspired by the magical world of Hogwarts, with a unique aesthetic customization with attention to the smallest details and a rich, truly original packaging.
Let’s therefore analyze in detail all the features and performances of the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition.
Packaging
Let’s start with the packaging: a small-sized reproduction of a Hogwarts student’s suitcase, made of imitation leather and with metal elements. Trunk embellished with the “Welcome to Hogwarts” engraving on the handle, a golden coat of arms of the 4 houses of Hogwarts placed on one side, with the opposite side hosting the Harry Potter and Realme logos.

Inside we find Harry Potter’s iconic admission letter (in English) to Hogwarts: an envelope sealed with fake red sealing wax, accompanied by a list of purchases needed for the school (books for the first year, a wand, a cauldron, etc.).

We continue with the ticket for the train departing from the famous platform 9 and three quarters. We then find various postcards dedicated to the characters of the film, a customizable bookmark with the logos of the four houses, a pin with the Hogwarts logo for the SIM trolley, a USB-C cable and a semi-rigid cover that reflects the design of the back of the smartphone.
Design

The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition presents itself with a truly unique design rich in details. Let’s start with the rear which boasts a brown, soft, leather-inspired covering with a three-dimensional diamond pattern. In the center stands the coat of arms of the four houses of Hogwarts with a three-dimensional effect and capable of changing color. When the smartphone is exposed to sunlight, the backgrounds of the house crests change from gray to iconic shades: red for Gryffindor, green for Slytherin, yellow for Hufflepuff and blue for Ravenclaw. The color transition occurs in a few seconds, with colors of moderate intensity.

Under the coat of arms of the four houses we also find the golden logos of Harry Potter and Realme. The photographic module, in golden aluminum alloy, has also been customized with a decoration on the upper cameras that recalls the eyes of Hedwig, the white owl from the saga. Too bad about the third fake camera on the rear.

We continue with the plastic sides, with golden painting. On the right one we find the laser-engraved writing “Welcome to Hogwarts”, the volume rocker and the power button. At the bottom, the USB-C port flanked by the trolley for the two SIMs and the second speaker (the earpiece acts as the first speaker).
Let’s not forget the IR emitter at the top and the front with thin frames that wrap the display protected by a film pre-applied at the factory.

Software analysis

The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition also boasts a Hogwarts-inspired theme with icons, animations and, unfortunately, only one wallpaper. We also remember the 10 hidden Easter eggs.
This smartphone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 (September 2026 patch). Too bad for the presence of numerous pre-installed apps, which can however be removed by the user.
Nice software that includes numerous features and many options for customizing the user interface. Let’s start with the Zen Space app which helps you maintain concentration. We then find the lighting of the edges of the screen when notifications are received and the sidebar to open apps in the window. There is also a GT mode to prioritize performance during the most intense gaming sessions.

We continue with services managed by artificial intelligence such as AI intelligent loop which allows you to extract text and images from content displayed on the screen and send them to an app chosen by the user via a retractable side menu.
The camera management software is decidedly complete and includes numerous modes such as Portrait (with useful additional functions), Night, Food, Slow motion, Time lapse, Long exposure, Text/document scanner and more. We also mention the LumaColor Image system, a proprietary technology for photographic processing developed in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland, useful for improving colours, skin rendering and depth in portraits.

There is no shortage of various functions, managed by artificial intelligence, for improving shots such as AI Framing Master which guides the arrangement of elements, automatically identifying the best shot, thus helping to obtain high quality photos. We also mention AI Landscape, useful for improving landscapes. We then find various filters, light effects and intelligent scenarios. Additional AI functions allow you to edit photos within the gallery with the possibility of removing reflections, improving sharpness and focus and much more.

Finally we mention the watermark in the photos inspired by the four houses of Hogwarts.
User experience and price

Let’s now analyze the performance of the realme 16 Pro with a positive overall opinion. Fast and responsive smartphone, with a fluid interface and good performance even in video games, with some limited slowdown only in the most demanding titles.
Let’s continue with the display: a high quality Amoled, fast and with natural colours. Screen with thin bezels, with a high refresh rate. Unlocks are fast and precise via face recognition and with the fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen. Complete connectivity.

No problems in the telephone/audio sector, with speakers of decent quality and good power.
Let’s continue with the photographic sector. The photos from the 200 MP main camera (30x digital zoom with AI, 2x lossless) are very good, with detailed shots and natural colours. Positive judgment also on portraits and photos in low light conditions, with an effective night mode. The wide angle of only 8 MP is discreet. Too bad for the absence of a real zoom. We also remember the advanced flash, which can be used as a fill light and can be manually adjusted (brightness and color temperature). Positive opinion also on the front camera, with quite natural and detailed shots. Videos up to 4K and 30 fps are also good.

Let’s not forget the high autonomy, with the 6,500 mAh battery which allows 2 days of average use and more than a day with intense use of the smartphone. Unfortunately, wireless charging is missing.
Excellent build quality, very good ergonomics, with low weight and thickness. Definitely positive evaluation on the design with a unique aesthetic customization and attention to the smallest details. The rich packaging is also excellent. Only sufficient software customization is not very rich in content from the world of Harry Potter.
The smartphone is sold exclusively by Unieuro and in limited quantities. The recommended retail price is €699.99.
