Robert Kennedy is with Trump, because it's not treason

The news had been in the air for days. The independent candidacy that had initially aroused some interest, is now in unstoppable decline. And here in particular, withdrawing in the States where it can harm him and staying in the race where it can even marginally benefit him, he declares his endorsement for Donald Trump. Thunder, lightning, even curses from the brothers.

How is it possible, everyone is really screaming, a Kennedy on the other side, in the enemy ranks? It’s a “betrayal”! Well, I have no particular sympathy or connection with Robert Francis Kennedy Jr.indeed, but I find it unacceptable that he is accused of betraying (what, then? a rarefied ideal?) simply because he has his own different (debatable? but of course!) positions regarding very common feelings, ‘Kennedian’ as they may be.
For years, the latter has emerged from the cow’s womb in which it could have lived peacefully only because of its family background, childishly aristocratic for Americans.

For years and years, facing fierce criticism (deserved? is it not allowed to have and support one’s own ideas?) and an absolutely hostile press, he is out in the open. It may even be, given the present, the endorsement in favor of Trump (what was he thinking?!?!), that quite a few of the criticisms he directed at the Democrats are valid.

Not a Judas Iscariot thenin my opinion, also to avoid, for goodness’ sake, that someone, imitating José Saramago, Giuseppe Berto and not a few others, each according to specific intention, transforms him into a hero or something similar.
