More and more people, when browsing online, are inclined to try to protect theirs privacy. In fact, in recent years, privacy has begun to play a truly central role among the priorities of Internet users. The large platforms (Google, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) have also noticed this fact and, in recent times (but not only), have begun to offer more options to allow you to protect your confidentiality.
One of the best known examples is “incognito” browsing, which allows you to leave no traces in your browser history. This function, which became popular about 20 years ago, is now used daily by many internet users.
Over the years, others have been added to this novelty. The platforms of the Meta group, for example, have for years now provided many ways to guarantee a good level of confidentiality on its platforms. Instagram, among others, allows you to set your profile private, in order to insert a filter between those who can see your profile and those who cannot. Furthermore, the same app allows you to hide the “displayed” in chats with other users.
Then there is Whatsapp, certainly the most avant-garde platform in this field, which offers the possibility of having a very high level of privacy thanks to functions such as chat lock, but not only. The Meta application, in fact, also allows you to remove the reading confirmation of the messages sent, as well as the text with the last access to the platform. There is only one thing that at the moment – at least in theory – it cannot do, that is remove the word “is writing”.
This, as we will see in the next paragraph, is true only in theory, since, in practice, there is actually a solution. To put it into practice you don't need to download third-party apps or activate hidden settings, just a little ingenuity.
How to remove the “is typing” text on WhatsApp
To remove the “is typing” text on WhatsApp it is not necessary, as we said, to download third-party apps. To do this, simply activate the “flight mode“, that is, it deactivates wi-fi and mobile data, access WhatsApp, write and send the message you want. This way, the person you are contacting will not see that you are online, nor that the “writing is writing”.
The only thing she will see is the message you sent her, but only when you turn off “airplane mode” and turn on Wi-Fi and mobile data again.
Of course this possibility is not only valid for iOSbut also for Android.
