WhatsApp, the "trick" to read deleted messages

Who uses it daily Whatsapp knows that, for some time now, a feature that has been loudly requested by users has been introduced: the possibility of cancel a message sent in a single or group chat, giving the possibility to reformulate the content if a mistake was made, or even better if the recipient was not the right one, but also for dozens of other more disparate reasons.

Timing and notification

At the beginning there was only an hour available, then the developers realized that more time was needed and today you can delete messages even after more than two days. As many people already know, if after sending you want to delete what you wrote, the options “delete for everyone” or just “delete for me” will appear based on your needs, that is, whether that message should disappear for everyone or just for the sender. At that point the message “This message has been deleted” appears, which will also be read by the recipient who will be aware of what happened. However, if you wanted to recover a particular message or more than one, here are the possibilities solutions.

How to Recover Deleted Messages

The first “trick” is the simplest and most intuitive and no external applications are needed: just go to Settings (valid for Android), continue on “Notifications” and “Status Bar”: at that point you will have to choose the option “More settings” and “Notification history”. Everything is very simple, you will only need to move the dedicated button to “On” which will allow you to see all notifications, forwarded and deleted messages of the last 24 hours but with some limits regarding characters: messages over 100 characters will not be recovered in full as well as photos, videos, sent and received files.

What happens with apps

Those who want to use external means can download some dedicated applications that can satisfy our requests: among these, here is Notification History thanks to which you will be able to trace the notifications deleted previously, with just one click you can recover deleted messages on WhatsApp. Another similar application is called Nova Launcher with a criterion very similar to that of the previous app to recover a deleted message.

Money remember that there is also WhatsRemoved+: this app asks if you agree to save all messages received on WhatsApp, including photos and videos, and every time you proceed with a deletion it will send a notification: with one click you can see its content.
