Who really needs a good caregiver?

Dearest Vittorio Feltri,

Let’s tell Gasparri that, since we are old, we have experienced various episodes that he, being born after us, will never be able to understand. He should start booking the carer for himself and Tajani, choosing her

among the women who arrived in Italy with the reception.

surveyor Ceroti

Dear Ceroti,

This gentleman, who has been living off the public good for decades and who collects hilarious gaffes on social networks and elsewhere, continues to insult me, calling me old and stupid and speaking of a “caregiver”, which, in his opinion, I need. However, I don’t feel like railing against this man, especially since I learned that he is the one who has problems with mental clarity. Several years ago, in 2016, Gasparri was already sharing real hoaxes on social media, passing them off as true, like when he shared a photograph of a famous singer, the star Jim Morrison, whose face is iconic, claiming that he was a repeat offender from Slavic origin. I would say that this is quite a blunder for a former Minister of Communications, who is unable to communicate except through insults, to which he is particularly accustomed.

Gasparri is not a young man, he is almost seventy and we are not that far apart in age, and yet he calls me old in absolutely derogatory terms without considering that, if I have to retire for reasons of age, perhaps it would be the case that he should do it too. But we are sure that Gasparri is not at all willing to lift his ass from the armchair. And it is from another armchair, the one at home, that this individual picks a fight with anyone on the net. In 2014 he made us risk a diplomatic incident with Great Britain when, commenting on the soccer World Cup, he wrote on Twitter that the English are “arrogant and idiots”. The Guardian newspaper crowned him “a politician devoted to making a fool of himself”. Even Wired magazine intervened on Twitter inviting him to adopt less violent and more appropriate language, then Gasparri replied: “I don’t know who you are, out of cowardice you hide behind anonymity, you need a name and surname to indicate to the waste management”. Overlooking the slurred Italian, I wonder: can a politician not realize he is speaking to the profile of a newspaper, a popular one at that? In short, between me and him it seems to me that the idiot is Maurizio, who however accuses me of being senile because I state truths that are indigestible to him.

Last year, in the Senate chamber, the senator took the floor to regale us with one of his many bullshit. Here’s what he said, with the pretense of giving a history lesson, despite having achieved, at this point we imagine even barely, a classical high school diploma: «The most recent case is the Crimean War in 1861-63, which involved the Kingdom of Piedmont, with Italy still not united, when Cavour sent the Bersaglieri to fight against the

Russia». Too bad the Crimean War took place between 1853 and 1856. And Italy – small aside – in 1861, dear Gasparri, was already unified. The Forza Italia MP is often embarrassing, yet I do not believe this is due to senility. In fact, thinking about it, he was like this even before approaching seventy. However, we trust that he can still get worse.

Also in 2016, when he was vice president of the Senate, he also showed serious difficulties with the past tense, using «chiesimo» instead of «chiedemmo».

Gasparri not only offends the undersigned, but also lashes out against anonymous web users of both sexes, showing a bitterness that

It leaves one quite shocked. He called a poor girl, guilty of being a fan of Fedez, a drug addict and a fat girl in a public comment.

Someone take the smartphone or tablet out of his hands. Maybe his caregiver.
