The sixty -twoth edition of the “Trophies of Milan” ended a few days ago which are not only a great sporting event that in all these years has brought over three and a half million very young students to the track. The “trophies” are a piece of history of this city but above all a piece of the future, the “seed” of sport, what will come, plus a cultural investment than competitive. And the photograph of the final party is of those that remain: a packed arena, a heated Olympic flame and a generation that runs towards the future.
The 62nd edition of the Trophies in collaboration with the Milan Foundation Cortina 2026 was obviously in the sign of the next games and saw the extraordinary participation of Martina Caironi, a Paralympic legend of athletics with three 3 golds and 4 silver, who turned on the tripod in front of 30,000 spectators for three days of races open by an exciting memory of Pope Francis. A collaboration, supported by the Internizzi Foundation which has as its objective to promote the health, education and inclusion of young patients involving them in sports activities in the hospital and is a way to bring the torch of the Olympic Carsia values.
