On the occasion of Google I/O 2026, Samsung Electronics and Google presented their new smart glasses, offering a first preview of two premium models created in collaboration with partners specialized in eyewear (Gentle Monster and Warby Parker).
Designed to work as a companion device to your smartphone, the new glasses allow users to request assistance via voice commands and seamlessly connect to their phone, all thanks to a traditional design.
Designed to understand the world together with users in real time, the new smart glasses offer daily support by allowing you to keep your hands free and your gaze always turned forward.

Smart glasses based on Android Xr, the platform developed by Google together with Samsung and Qualcomm.
Devices available in two variants: audio glasses, which offer voice assistance directly to the ear, and display glasses, which show the necessary information exactly when you need it. The audio glasses will be the first to debut, later this fall; further details and pricing will be announced in the coming months.

Here are some of the features coming to audio glasses:
- Ask about what you see: just say “Hey Google” or tap the side of the mount to instantly access Gemini. From there, you can ask questions about the world around you.
- Navigate with ease: the glasses know where you are and which direction you are facing, giving you turn-by-turn directions. Gemini can also add stops to your route or find nearby restaurants based on your tastes.
- Stay in touch, hands-free: manage calls, send messages and have Gemini summarize missed messages without having to take out your phone. Or listen to music that best suits your environment, all with clear, private over-the-ear speakers.
- Shoot and edit: Capture high-quality photos and videos instantly. With a single command you can take a photo and use Nano Banana to remove background distractions or transform your images in fun ways.
- Translate speech and text: get real-time translations with audio that reflects the tone and timbre of the speaker’s voice, or simply look at the text on menus and signs to hear the translation.
- Get help with tasks: Gemini intelligence handles multi-step tasks in the background. Gemini can prepare your product order while your phone remains in your pocket. All you have to do is confirm the final order.
- Access your apps: book an Uber ride, learn a new language and more, simply by using your voice with your smartphone apps. The glasses pair with both Android and iOS phones.
