Mother Milly Carlucci churns out record after record with each new season of Dancing with the Stars. Even in the one that has just begun, it managed, albeit briefly, to triumph over rival Tú sí que vales of Mediaset. In the October 3 episode, the Rai program achieved a 25.6 percent share compared to 25.5 percent for the opposing network’s broadcast. Her father Angelo Donati inspired her in her educational journey until he welcomed her into his company. Angelica Donati now has an established and successful career, but her story is little known. Studies and first experiences
Angelica Krystle Donati is the eldest daughter of the historic presenter of Dancing with the Stars. She was born on 16 September 1985 from the union of Carlucci with Angelo Donati, founder of the construction company of the same name in 1978. The daughter decided to follow in her father’s footsteps by keeping away from the limelight that her mother could offer her.
From 2003 to 2006 he attended the London School of Economics and Political Science. Studies that allowed her to join Goldman Sachs dealing with the sale of currency exchange solutions. After three years in the investment bank, Donati took an MBA (master’s degree in business administration) at the Saïd business school, the economics and management faculty of the Social Sciences division of the University of Oxford. Between 2011 and 2012 Angelica Donati was Retail marketing manager of Polo Ralph Lauren for Italy, Greece and Switzerland.
At 27, after having accumulated experience abroad, she joined her father’s company, born in 1948. She and Patrick, Carlucci’s second son born in 1991, embarked on careers far from the world of entertainment. The second son graduated in London and began working in the world of finance in the British “City”.
The Donati group
Angelica Donati was first at the helm of the economic development of the family company and then became managing director. The company, with 131 employees, recorded 91.6 million in turnover in 2025 (52.4 in 2024) with 16.3 million in profit (3 million in 2024). The company deals with the design and construction of infrastructural works (road, motorway, railway), tunnels and viaducts, the redevelopment and recovery of existing assets, restoration and conservative rehabilitation. It has had orders in Sicily, Lazio, Abruzzo, Umbria, Tuscany, Marche, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Liguria and Lombardy.
In September 2026, as a temporary grouping of companies with De Sanctis construction, it signed a framework agreement with Invitalia for the assignment of the design and construction of the new detention pavilions in the penitentiary institutions of Saluzzo and Perugia. Approximately 120 beds will be added to each prison home. The estimated maximum amount is 45.5 million euros.
As mentioned, the company is however very active in the road infrastructure sector. It was involved in the doubling of the SS318 of Valfabbrica (Perugia) for Anas, carried out together with Besix. Other interventions were carried out on the state road 284 “Occidentale Etnea” which involved a total investment of 66 million euros, of which over 45 for contract-based works. The company was also involved in the works on the SS 156 of the Lepini Mountains, the axis between Frosinone and Latina.
In the year of her debut at Donati spa, the manager founded Donati real estate group, conceived as a development division of the family business. The company’s mandate was to manage all of Donati’s development projects in Italy and to expand its business abroad. The Donati construction company in the United Kingdom was added to the project. In 2013 the Donati real estate group started its presence in the United States as Donati real estate Usa corp.
According to Companies House, the British company register, there are several companies linked to the name of Angelica Krystle Donati. Most were based at 148 Mitcham Road, London. Donati real estate Uk ltd appears to have ceased its activities in 2023, while Donati construction Uk ltd has no longer been operational since 2021. In 2022 the manager resigned from her role as advisor and global director of Yep, an association that organizes events for young entrepreneurs from different sectors.
The other duties and the marriage
On 29 June 2024 Angelica Donati married Fabio Borghese, prince and descendant of the historic Roman family. Among his ancestors Borghese can also count Pope Paul V. Today the 61-year-old is on the board of directors of the Arsenale group, a company specializing in luxury hospitality. However, before joining the real estate group he moved to Exxon (11 years) and Enel (9 years and then 6 to Enel X). Their wedding banquet was held in the Medici villa of Montevettolini, owned by the Borghese family. From their marriage in 2026 Camilla Maria was born, named after her grandmother Camilla Patrizia “Milly” Carlucci.
The pregnancy crowned a year full of changes and successes for Angelica Donati. In April 2025 she was awarded the Minerva prize for entrepreneurship, in May 2026 she concluded her three-year experience as a member of the Terna board and just a month later she became vice-president of Ance Roma – Acer after having been president of the young entrepreneurs Ance, the national association of building constructors, from 2021 to 2025.
