Another thirty days marked by strikes and unrest. The month of November promises to be intense, with a long list of worker mobilisations. The hottest date is certainly that of the 20th with the general strike proclaimed by the CGIL but it is not the only day with a high risk of chaos. Let’s take stock of the agitations already proclaimed, with the dates, cities and sectors affected.
The strikes of November 2026
The month begins with a series of local strikes. Enav workers (National Flight Assistance Agency) will strike on 6 November in Bari from 1pm to 5pm. On 9 November in Verona there will be the mobilization proclaimed by Orsa Ferrovie from 9.01am to 5pm. From 10 to 11 November rail freight transport will stop in Lombardy, with the Sbb Cargo Italia workers’ strike called by Filt Cgil from 9pm on the 10th to 4.59am of the 11th.
Then there are a series of protests that affect buses, metro and trams. On November 9th the strike affects Palermo (from 11am to 3pm) and Genoa (from 11.30am to 3.30pm); on November 10th Cosenza (from 9.59am to 1.59pm); on 13 November Milan and Venice (24 hours); November 14 Bari (24 hours); November 16th Naples (from 11am to 3pm).
The general strike proclaimed by the CGIL will take place on Friday 20 November. The protest was launched by the general secretary, Maurizio Landini, against the economic measure. All sectors, public and private, will be involved.
For the railway sector, the inconveniences are destined to last because between 20 and 21 November there will be a national strike proclaimed by SGB and Cub Trasporti. It starts at 9pm on Friday and ends at 8pm on Saturday.
Also on Saturday 21 November, be careful when traveling by plane: it is the day of the national strike of Enav workers, proclaimed by Filt Cgil and Ugl Ta from 1pm to 5pm.
Two clarifications are mandatory: other protests can still be proclaimed (others revoked) and there are guarantee bands for the various sectors, i.e. time windows in which services must be guaranteed. For local transport they vary from city to city, so it is good practice to check with the operators close to the date.
