WhatsApp, the "trick" to read deleted messages

Once again Whatsapp proves to be “in step” with the times by inserting functions already appreciated by millions of users in other social networks in its chats to make everything much simpler, more intuitive and with fewer steps. In the specific case, in the last few hours two new features have been announced regarding the double tap and the insertion of animated emojis to make conversations between groups and users even more effective.

What happens with double tap

Let’s start by describing the first novelty: as reported by WABetaInfo, the first new feature concerns a function already used on Instagram, that is, the heart after a written message or a voice audio that shows your assent. To insert it, just double-click and it appears in the bottom right, while on WhatsApp, at the moment, you can insert by holding down the message you are interested in (written or voice) but you can choose from all the available emojis and not just the heart. This new function, however, is currently being tested only by Android beta testers and will soon be available to all users including iOS.

The developers explained that the new feature will also be integrated into GIFs as well as images and videos. There is a small downside that users who are less familiar with or more “clumsy” should think about: with the double tap and the relative heart you could also put this reaction to old chats or simply by mistake. In these cases, however, the recipient will still receive the notification with the heart.

Animated Emojis Are Coming

One of the most anticipated and requested novelties, however, is represented by the arrival of new animated emojiand: also in this case, they have been available for Android beta testers for a few weeks but will soon spread to all operating systems. For now, only a few are available to the general public, among which we remember the winking face, the laughing one but also the red heart that beats.

WABetaInfo informs that WhatsApp developers are also implementing the animation for many other emojis that will be visible once you enter the chat in a special section created by Meta along the lines of what is already available on Telegram. For now, however, there is no date for the update to the general public or even when it will be available for Apple users.
