This year too, as usual with the approach of the Christmas holidays, Apple has decided to extend the return period for all purchases made both online, through its Apple Store Online, and physically at points of sale.
The primary objective is to further incentivize its customers to buy its products, providing an advantage of great importance not only in view of the Christmas but also of Black Friday, two of the absolutely “hottest” periods of the year. It is clear that the awareness of being able to have greater protection, benefiting from a longer period of time to be able to evaluate whether the gift is appreciated and fully functional, acts as an incentive to plan your purchases well in advance.
All eligible Apple products purchased between November 8, 2024 and January 6, 2025 are guaranteed a much larger return window, ending on Monday January 20th: this means that the maximum period granted is even 73 days, significantly higher than the traditional 14 days usually provided by the Cupertino giant.
With the aim of making return procedures even more practical and simple, Apple provides an autonomous online management system. In the dedicated area, customers must enter all the information necessary to proceed, such as the collection address and order number, after which, once the operation has been approved, the RMA authorization code is assigned. This will finally be affixed to the package to be returned to facilitate return operations.
The strategy implemented by Apple to try to maximize revenues in one of the most important phases of the year has become a common trend for all the main portals dealing with e-commerce, including Amazonwhich recently announced an extension of the deadlines for returns.
Even for Amazon the window is generally 14 days, but, in view of the increase in purchases that regularly occurs with Black Friday first and the Christmas holidays after, it was decided to proceed with a large expansion.
For purchases made from 1 November to 25 December 2024, returns can be made no later than January 31st 2025, without prejudice to the fact that as regards electronic products, the set date is January 15th, provided that they are in the same conditions in which they were shipped at the time of purchase.
