The historic bagli, witnesses of the rich local history, will be the backdrop to some of the activities: it will be possible to explore these architectural jewels through guided excursions. The sea, in addition to providing a breathtaking scenery, will be the protagonist of the menus with its fresh catch. The local extra virgin olive oil, true liquid gold of Sicily, will be the common thread that will tie all the dishes, enhancing their flavors.
During the event, participants will be able to savor the best of the local culinary tradition with a tasting menu that will change daily. Among the specialties offered will be fragrant bruschetta seasoned with local oil, Spaccatelle Torre Salina in homage to the historic Torre Isulidda in the Macari area, Pennette Tonnara Cofano that celebrate the famous tuna fishery of the Gulf of Monte Cofano, and the traditional Pasta c’anciova that enhances the flavor of local anchovies. Each menu will also include fried fish prepared with the catch of the day, seasonal fruit and a selection of local wines.
The event is not just a feast for the palate. The program also includes exciting paragliding and parawinch performances, and evening concerts with the best of musical genres, all in the suggestive atmosphere of the Bay with the sound of the waves and the scent of the sea.
The event is organized from the Cultural Tourist Association “Castelluzzo” with the contribution of the Municipality of San Vito lo Capo.
This year, the event is enriched thanks to the collaborations with Cofiol – Consorzio Filiera Olivicola Siciliana and Oro di Sicilia, who will bring their experience in the field of quality olive oil, and with Sicilia Food Awards, which will help enhance the gastronomic excellence of the territory.
