Daniel Spoerri and the bronze age. Masterpieces from the CaPostella Foundation to Palazzo Eroli and Rocca Albornoz in Narni/ Tr - Carlo Franza's blog

Narni is proposed in the panorama of contemporary art with a series of events promoted by the CaPostella Foundation and the Regional Fondo-Regional Fondo of Contemporary Art Baronissi, organized by the Archeoares company, and supported by the Municipality of Narni with the The patronage of the Umbria Region and the Foundation Il Giardino di Daniel Spoerri – Hic Terminus Haeret.

The first possibility of meeting will be with exhibitions Daniel Spoerri E. Tableaux-Pièges and Bronzi. The CaPostella collection “set up at the Rocca and the Bronze Age. Contemporary sculptures from the CaPostella Foundation welcomed in Palazzo Eroli which opened its doors on April 12 and will end on November 6, 2025, the first anniversary of the disappearance of Daniel Spoerri.

The exhibition Daniel Sporri is first of all a tribute to one of the masters of the Nouveau Réalisme, famous for his tableaux-pièges, present on display, and for the Parco di Sculpture in Seggiano.

In the spaces of the Rocca Albornoz and Palazzo Edi, a great story of art will be staged and friendship. About 70 masterpieces of sculpture of the “Vittorio Caosarella” Foundation – Ffondarc, will investigate the boundaries between art and crafts, between ideation and execution.

Ffondarc, in the overlap between art foundry and foundation, constitutes a unicum in the panorama of collecting. Beyond the number and quality of the Works, what characterizes the heritage of the Foundation is the story of friendship and art from which those bronze creatures emerge, the result of the joint work between the founder Pietro Caosarella and the artists who, in 40 years of activity, turned to him to give body and life to their intuitions: Daniel Spoerri, Arman, Agostino Bonalumi, Pietro Cascella, Nunzio, Umberto Mastroianni, Enrico Baj … just to name someone.

The extraordinary value of these two exhibitions therefore consists in ideally entertaining in the artefice workshop, and to breathe that four -handed creative process and two energies which, in the act of merger, makes the border between art and crafts dissolve. The Narni event therefore proposes a single view by focusing on the role of the artist and the arter. A function, that of the arter, sometimes unknown, sometimes underestimated, but certainly not by the artists who have entrusted their projects to the wisdom of Caosarella, in a story of trust and friendship, who unfolded for decades and who gives us the testimony of a season of art history today.

The exhibition dedicated to Daniel Sporri, present at the Rocca Albornoz, offers about forty sculptures to seal a first tribute in Italy a few months after the disappearance.
Inside Palazzo Metroi, home of the Museum of the city and the territory of Narni, it will be possible to enjoy the comparison between the famous Violin of Arman and the coronation of the Virgin of Domenico Ghirlandaio, alongside other protagonists of the Nouveau Réalisme,
and works by great artists such as Arman, Enrico Baj, Giovanni Balderi, Agostino Bonalumi, Pietro Cascella, Tommaso Cascella, César (Baldaccini), Claudio Costa, Gino Filippeschi, Edgardo Mannucci, Umberto Mastroianni and others.
