Good afternoon Dr. Porro, we are the owners of a small one metalworking company (turning and milling to be exact) and we are in the Marche region. This company was born with our father in 1981 and we children joined in 2000 and then took over the reins.
The situation is difficult: since 2008 we have been subject to continuous ups and downs due to economic criseslow-cost Chinese market, Covid and finally the war. On top of all this we can add the intransigence of the post-Basel banks as well as the State with the Revenue Agency.
Our companies had no problems complying with the regulations until 2008 payments in general but from that date onwards things have reversed. Furthermore, it must be considered that industries, not only large spas but also medium-sized industries, they took their production away from Italy to purchase most of the components in China despite the difficulty in booking containers and their cost.
We Italians we have become the contractors for emergencies: they purchase from us when quantities and times do not allow them to go to China.
No government has ever protected us until now.
Now he writes to us the Revenue Agency to tell us who we are anomalous. I’m talking about the famous letters that have caused discussion and which I find unprecedented absurdity on the part of a government that I also voted for but which is betraying the trust of those who produce and offer work in Italy but above all who work from morning to night.
From their seats they don’t know that in small companies the owner, who is not a smart guy, often decides to wait to take your salary to give it to an employee without which it would not be able to produce. Come and check out our company: I can’t wait because I’ll have it written in the minutes that we invite the government gentlemen to spend a few days with us to see how the world goes outside their four walls.
In a time like this of difficulty and total uncertainty, the government is becoming our number one enemy. Once the houses, land, companies and anything else pass into the hands of the State will they make us a pseudo-communist country by giving us assigned homes and jobs?
I greet you,
Gemma Papi
