Let’s face it: the Germans are fed up with the Ampel government led by Olaf Scholz. They went to vote en masse in two Länder and the result is what I had predicted. Of the traditional parties, only the CDU remains, which is in opposition at the national level. Liberals and Greens, a beating that will be difficult to forget.

Now the forces of conservation they will close up like a hedgehog against the AfDbut if they don’t want the far right they will have to opt for the far left. And if the far left does not show itself available to a government with the CDU, it will be chaos and ungovernability.

The fact that no one can deny is that for the first time in the history of Germany in a German state a defined force of far right is the first party. They defend their country from a migration that is getting out of controlthey don’t want the war in Ukraine to continue, they want to leave the euro and the EU, they can’t stand gender ideology. Right or left? You decide for yourself. The far left says pretty similar things and adds Palestine to it.

Be that as it may, it is certainly not a success for democracy if the party with the most votes in a state ends up in opposition.

The government led by Scholz will pretend nothing happenedthe result will be that in the next elections AfD will become the largest party in Germany. And then it will not be one or two Länder that will become ungovernable but an entire country.

Germany is in disarray. All of it, not just the East. Growing youth unemployment, widespread and growing crime, military spending that is now unsustainable, public transport that works worse than the Italian ones, public health in collapse, rising inflation, skyrocketing house prices, welfare state in crisis. Only wages are still holding up because in Germany the unions do not deal with gender, as they do in our country, but with workers’ interests. Germany is becoming a powder keg.
