Higher battery capacity and performance ensure the new iPhone 16, recently released on the market, a clear superiority over the old smartphones produced by Apple.
The Cupertino giant has introduced four models of its famous cell phone, namely iPhone16, iPhone16Plus, iPhone16Pro and iPhone16Pro Max. However, as always happens, it has not provided any specifications regarding the battery supplied with the electronic devices.
An excellent analysis was made by the National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil (Anatel, National Telecommunication Agency), which has provided users with valuable information capable of defining the leap in quality of all new Apple models. Specifically, these are the data collected during the analysis carried out by experts from the body controlled by the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology:
- iPhone 16 features a 3,561mAh battery, an increase of 6.3%;
- iPhone16Plus has a 4,674mAh battery, which translates to a 6.6% increase;
- The iPhone 16 Pro, on the other hand, features a 3,582mAh battery, a significant increase of 9.4%;
- Finally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max offers a 4,685mAh battery, an increase of 6%.
This translates first of all into a longer overall battery life for the new smartphones, and this is also thanks to the great efficiency of the A18 and A18 Pro chips, but not only that: the Cupertino giant has made technical optimizations that guarantee iPhone 16 owners clear improvements in battery life. energy management.
So even the performance of the batteries, and not only their capacity, has undergone a clear push upwards:
- iPhone 16 supports 22 hours of video playback, which is 2 more than the 20 hours of the previous model;
- iPhone16Plus can reach 27 hours, exceeding the 26 of its predecessor;
- iPhone 16Pro also reaches up to 27 hours, surpassing the 15Pro’s 23;
- The iPhone 16 Pro Max clocks in at 33 hours of playback, a full 4 more than the 29 hours reported for the older model.
The superiority is also clear with regards to the charging speed.
The 4 models support the 25W MagSafe port, but to take advantage of it you need to have a latest-generation charger: via a USB-C connection, the new Apple smartphones can reach 45W, which means significantly reducing waiting times for charging.
