iPhone, the alarm clock hasn't worked for months on numerous devices: storm on Apple

Despite the numerous and repeated complaints on the main social networks and the promises to solve the problem, complete with admission of one’s responsibilities, Apple has not yet managed to fix the alarm function anomaly that affected some iPhones.

This is not a recent issue, since in a few months a year will have passed since the first reports made by customers on the various forums dedicated to the “iPhone”. The Cupertino giant acknowledged the faults and announced on more than one occasion that it was working to resolve the malfunction with the aim of fixing it once and for all through an IOS update, but this never happened. Just in the last few hours there has been a new one surge of protests of users afflicted by the problem, who flocked in particular to Reddit to vent all their discontent. But what kind of anomaly is it?

According to reports, these are problems connected to one of the most important basic options used by everyone, namely that of wakes upwhich doesn’t work properly. The alarm, in most cases documented online, does not sound at the time indicated when setting it on theClock app of the iPhone operating system: activation arrives late, or irregularly, and has caused great difficulties for users who have relied on it in recent months during which the problem has dragged on.

In the various threads opened on Reddit, one of which in the last few hours, they are noted delays in the alarm which can go from two to even ten hours, with all the resulting problems for those who had made an appointment or a work commitment and suffered the consequences of this malfunction. As mentioned, however, there are various types of anomalies, given that some Apple customers have instead complained of an ineffective alarm due to the volume being too low or the absence of vibration, unlike the options entered when setting the alarm

Another element to underline is that these malfunctions are not linked to a specific one operating systemsince they affect both owners of electronic devices equipped with iOS 17 and those who have switched to version 18 without however experiencing the desired benefits. The problem, in fact, is still present, despite the desperate attempts made by users to solve it.

Some have managed to get to grips with the malfunction by deactivating the system automatic gaze detectionor through the Settings-Accessibility-Face ID path, with the mobile phone automatically deactivating the alarm by detecting the movement of the face

of the user towards the display. Unfortunately, however, this method has proven to be valid only for a very few lucky people, so there are still numerous customers waiting for a response from Apple, on whom there is great pressure.
