Lg Electronics presented the new UltraGear evo AI 27GM950B gaming monitor, a new generation 27-inch display designed to offer a high-performance experience not only in gaming, but also in productivity and creativity.
Previewed during Ces 2026 and awarded with the Ces Innovation Award 2026, the new model introduces Hyper Mini LED technology in 5K resolution.
Hyper Mini LED technology
Lg’s Hyper Mini LED technology uses an advanced architecture that allows extremely precise light control and very high brightness. The monitor integrates 2,304 local dimming zones, equal to 1.5 times those of traditional Mini LEDs, ensuring even more accurate management of contrast and brightness.
Lg UltraGear evo Gm9 is Vesa Display Hdr 1,000 certified and reaches a peak brightness of 1,250 nits, while the 99% DCi-P3 coverage promises realistic and faithful colours. The high brightness enhances every scene, from the most spectacular explosions to night skies. Zero Optical Distance technology also contributes to these performances, which reduces the distance between the panel and LED backlighting to a minimum, limiting the dispersion of light.
Thanks to these solutions, the 27GM950B model has obtained the TÜV Rheinland Anti Blooming certification, which certifies its ability to reduce the halo effect and guarantee cleaner images, with deep blacks and vivid contrasts.
Integrated AI
Among the most distinctive elements of the new monitor stands out the native integration of advanced artificial intelligence features. The AI Upscaling 5K function automatically enhances content up to 5K resolution without requiring hardware upgrades or more GPU power, ensuring greater detail and definition.
To complete the experience, the AI Scene Optimization function intervenes, which analyzes the content reproduced and adjusts parameters such as color, sharpness and contrast based on the scene; and the AI Sound function, which separates and optimizes voices, effects and ambient sounds to offer an immersive audio experience with up to 7.1.2 channel simulation, improving sound perception during gameplay.
Dual Mode

The Dual Mode function allows you to easily switch from a 5K and 165Hz mode, ideal for cinematic visual experiences, narrative and high-impact games, to a 330Hz QHD mode, designed for competitive gaming and fast-paced titles such as FPS and racing. In both configurations, the 1 ms response time and compatibility with Nvidia G‑Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium ensure smooth images.
Advanced connectivity

Complete connectivity with DisplayPort 2.1 and USB-C with Power Delivery up to 90W. This allows you to transfer data at high speed and power a laptop via a single cable.
