The triathlon stops in Lovere and pays homage to the “Borgo della Luce”, one of the most beautiful in Italy. Over six hundred athletes will dive into the waters of Lake Iseo tomorrow for the LovereTri. A now classic race over two distances “Between magic and challenge in a place that seems to have been created for the triathlon – write the organizers of Followyourpassion– with athletes who will dive into a lake that is a safe “harbor” for the swimming leg, who will pedal on roads that climb the mountains between historic towns and who will conclude with the running leg on the perimeter of the lake between rocks and water…”. There are two distances: the “canonical” one of the medium (1.9 km swimming, 85 km cycling and 20 km running) and the “atypical” one of the 37.2 no draft, launched right here last year, which with 900 meters swimming, 30 km cycling and 6.3 km running) “has been successful because it is a little longer than the sprint races and is a perfect springboard for those who want to get closer to an Olympic triathlon”. As in past seasons, Lovere confirms itself as a challenge of great international appeal with 16 nations represented, with France and Holland dominating, followed by the other European nations Albania, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Great Britain, Lithuania, Netherlands and Poland. Argentina, Egypt and the Philippines are the non-European countries. Not an easy race. LovereTri which will climb towards the hinterland with a difference in altitude of 1,263 metres in the medium section and 450 in the short section. The Lovere stage is the third of the Triathlon Series by FollowYourPassion, the circuit dedicated to triathlon, in collaboration with Alé, a cycling and triathlon clothing brand, which after the first two events – the MilanoTRI on April 20 and the ChiaTRI on April 27 – and after the Bergamo race, will see the grand finale in PeschieraTRI on October 5 and 6.
