Make the right choice, vote!

What happens in the damask rooms of political palaces? What do deputies whisper to each other between coffees? In Rome there are no secrets, especially in La Buvette. A weekly podcast to tell all the behind the scenes politics. The agreements, the betrayals and the twists and turns of the leaders down to the smallest parliamentarians ready to do anything to avoid losing their privilege, their seat. The power. Everyone plays their own game, but not everyone manages to win it. Very few will be saved, especially after the seats were cut. Favorite game? Eliminate “the other”. Parliament is the new Squid Game.

Dear friends of La Buvette, there are just a few hours left until the polls open for the renewal of the European Parliament. These are important elections. Fundamental for our future, for that of your children. Of your grandchildren. For that of Europe. This is why I decided to keep the La Buvette microphone for myself. It is important to go and vote, to make the right choice. Choose a side. No, don't think that voting is superfluous, that it counts for nothing. Voting counts, of course! Every vote is fundamental, history teaches us this. It is necessary to make the right choice, take the best side. Today more than ever.

These elections put us at a crossroads. They call us to choose firsthand whether to be on the side of the people, the sovereign nations or that of the bureaucrats who, as we have seen in recent years, have chosen the worst for us. For our country, imposing penalizing laws on us. Absurd! We are called to choose whether to stand with those who imposed crazy rules (in the name of the environment) on our homes or whether to be masters in our own home. If being with someone who wants it at all costselectric car, to the detriment of thousands of workers and hundreds of companies, or whether to continue using our cars. Combustion, without having to buy it again. And to hold on to our work.

We are called to choose whether to be with those who turn the other way while in Italy thousands of irregular migrants reach our shores or with those who have very specific, clear ideas about hospitality. And solidarity between the countries of the Union. We must decide if we want to continue to be subservient and helpless in the face of the wicked laws that are imposed on us uses and customs different from ours. Choosing between those who would like to abolish Christmas and those who don't; between those who want to destroy the roots of peoples in the name of integration and those who, instead, want to enhance them. Choosing whether to be with those who tell us that our wine, our cheese is bad for us or those who want to export it to Europe. We have to choose whether to be with whoever he wants peace or among those who, instead, want war. Yes, because this is what we are talking about too.

How do you vote?
