Marathon, Design and Daniel Fontana to support the Tog Foundation
For those who know triathlon, the explanations are absolutely useless, for those who do not “chew” just say that Daniel FontanaArgentine of the land of fire, but “true Italian” thanks to grandparents, was the strongest blue triathlete ever on Olympic distances, Italian multiple champion with two participations in the Games of Beijing and Athens and then also on the Ironman distance, where he won first and three times in the races of the world circuit. Now he does not compete anymore but continues to train and remains a nice example of a winning sportsman. In the next Milan Marathon who will run on April 6 will be “testimonial” of Tog Foundationthe center of rehabilitation excellence for children with complex neurological pathologies, in particular childhood cerebral paralysis and genetic syndromes with mental retardation. It promotes the “Together to Run” project thanks to which it is possible to participate in the relay and at the same time support the Foundation. Fontana will give advice to beginner runners to face the challenge, will accompany them to the race and try to develop a preparation that allows them to face at least the distance of a fraction. But there is not only sport to support Tog. “Beauty at the service of fragility” is the slogan of the “Lightoether” initiative which today has offered 101 lamps of 101 designers at the headquarters of the “Carlo De Benedetti” Tog center in via Livigno 1 in Milan. On the occasion of the World Day of Diseases Rare Design and Solidarity, they joined. Among the artists who have made their contribution Giulio Iacchetti, Alberto Meda, Fabio Novembre, Lorenzo Palmeri, Robin Rizzini. The work of the 101 designers who in recent weeks, coordinated by the ideator of the Matteo Ragni Studio project, have designed as many lamps then produced unique pieces by the Fablab, the digital manufacturing laboratory of the Center of the Tog dedicated to the research and development of aids, games and personalized tools for children and young people with disabilities, were presented. The 101 exclusive creations were made ad hoc for the Tog Foundation and united by the common thread of hope, “to illuminate fragility – explains a note – and the path of many children and young people towards a full and dignified life”.
