It is not the first time that we were talking about robots washing machines equipped with a roller that replaces the counter -transfers, but in recent years the challenge has become increasingly intense and with Mova Z60 Ultra lights up. For this reason, in addition to previewing the new handyman robot, we decided to understand how advanced these products have compared the Z60 Ultra with a broom washing. Unjust challenge for the robot, given that the broom is a dedicated and theoretically more effective product, but the goal was to understand if you can really forget manual cleaning …
Mova Z60 Ultra: what it does (and why it’s different)
The new Mova Z60 Ultra is a robot designed to suck and wash the floors, thus replacing the fucking vacuum cleaner, washing and, of course, the human that should operate. The heart of this new generation is the Hydroforce system: A 25.6 cm wide roller is sprayed by clean water in real time.
In its rotation movement, the part of the roller with the clean water (and the detergent) washes the floor, also accumulating any residues which, immediately after, are scraped and conveyed in a separate internal tank, avoiding dragging dirt around. This is an important difference compared to robots with counter -transfers that “spread” dirt on the floor and must wash the role at the station in a continuous cycle:
- The robot finds a stain of mayonnaise
- The counter -deceased mocates spread it on the floor by absorbing a part of it
- The robot returns to the base, washes the role and returns to the stain area
- The mocates absorb the remaining part of the stain
And so on, until the floor is clean. It is an expensive process in terms of resources and time.

The roller, on the other hand, continues to clean during the rotation and the robot has on board both the clean water tank and that of the collection water (the dirty one). It therefore becomes less dependent on the base that only occupies: wash the roller with hot water up to 80 ° C, dry it hot air and sterilizes the dust bag with UV, reducing smells and residues over time.
Being a top of the range, the technical data sheet of the Z60 Ultra is interesting: 28,000 suction PAs with double anti-strip roller for hair, the Maxireach function that extends both the roller and the brush to cover edges and edges, the 96 mm low profile with DTOF (the “turret” with the lidar) to slip under the low furniture, and the system that allows the system that allows the system that allows the system that allows the system that allows the system that allows the system “jump” to exceed thresholds and obstacles combined up to 8 cm. Finally, in the steps on the rugs, the robot raises the frame up to 11 mm activating a shield that wraps the roller not to wet the fabrics, as if it were an off-road vehicle with adaptive suspension and under-scoccum protection.

Coma lava and as it aspires
By now the top of the range rarely risk disappointing, and Mova Z60 Ultra confirms the numbers of the technical sheet, actually transforming them. The suction power reached by robots today is more than abundant for the dirt we have at home, managing well also thin stone and larger crumbs or rice on models like this Z60 Ultra.
In addition, Z60 has an excellent anti-deception system that manages to always keep the brushes clean by avoiding the hair to get stuck.
The washing also works well in most situations, finding difficulties only with the most stubborn stains: a piece of dry tomato and now “glued” to the floor for days, for example, it will be difficult to remove because it must be literally scraped, and the pressure of the roller (and often that of the mocio) is not enough. In reality, leaving it on the ground, we observed that during the various daily washing, a little at a time, it is partially removed, but it is necessary to set the maximum humidity of the roller and you have to make more steps.
However, it is a typical limit of lava-spanning robots, regardless of the technology they use: a manual scraper would be needed and it is still a circumstance that, if you plan daily cleaning, does not occur. The silent mode that is perfect for this purpose is also interesting: thanks to the options of the app, just configure the robot on a “silent” suction power and on normal washing. This allows you to wash daily even if the house is always occupied by those who work in Smart Working for example, without the disadvantage of noise that would instead be annoying at the greatest power.

The navigation skills are also excellent. First of all because Z60 Ultra recognizes the objects (and it can also report them at the end of cleaning) avoiding them. In addition, the turret that hides the sensors is able to lower and this allows the robot to pass under the furniture becoming more “thin” and, at the same time, ensuring greater cleaning.
The app is rich in options: You can see the inspiration of the mother brand (Dreame) and you appreciate the fact that every aspect can be configured. For example, there is the choice of the method of approach to obstacles, the option to tell the robot to return to clean in the areas that had avoided the presence of obstacles (a cat on the floor, or a person for example) or the many strategies for rugs. Precisely on the rugs, in fact, Mova Z60 Ultra makes the difference and is recommended to protect them because in addition to getting up it has a underbody that activates and protects the carpet from the wet roller, also avoiding dripping.

Challenge at home and for the home: Robot vs fucks
Taking advantage of the fact that Z60 Ultra and X4 Pro di Mova are both two of the latest products in the manufacturer’s range, we tried to compare the cleaning performance. The fucking lavapavimenti, being a product dedicated to a single function (although in any case it is able to aspire), should represent the reference point, and has always been made with a roller continuously sprangled with water, similar to the one that now begins to arrive on the robots.
On the one hand, a robot and a broom may seem in competition, even if the robot tends to be made for complete cleaning and is slower in managing a payment of liquids or a stain on the fly, on the other the fucking lava-paving is comfortable for a quick and targeted blow. Precisely in this, the two products are complementary and their effectiveness has shown it. Using them for a month side by side, the broom became perfect for cleaning dirt from everyday life: an inverted coffee, the yogurt that falls, the milk stains while dragging the cup for the house still sleepy …
Using it in this way, its limit given by a fairly compact tank passes into the background because X4 Pro, if flanked by a washing-crime robot, becomes the weapon for the quick response and not the main tool for cleaning, instead entrusted to the robot.

The opportunity, however, also allowed to take a test side with the same type of dirt. The right tile was clean with a single pass from the X4 Pro in automatic mode. The roller removed and absorbed the semi-liquids (yogurt, mayonnaise and jam “with pieces” of fruit in a few seconds.

Total time of the operation? Less than a minute, even if then the emptying of the tank required manual hair cleaning aspirated from the floor and stored together with the liquid, a longer and not very pleasant operation.

The other tile, the one on the left, was reserved for the Mova Z60 Ultra Roller complete robot. Being a cleaning of a dedicated area, it was necessary more time for the setup to open the application, draw the area (approximate) on the map to clean, start cleaning, wait for the robot to wash the mocates and load the water and so on.

Total time: 5/7 minutes, with an equivalent result. In fact, both tiles were not slippery because of the fats contained in mayonnaise for example, and both were without residue.

Being an approximate area drawn by hand, it was not possible to clean only the tile concerned. The robot, however, managed to recognize the stain and started a cleaning of up to the affected area, insisting until the residues were removed.

The advantage of Z60 Ultra Roller Complete, however, is in post-publizia. In fact, the robot returned to the station to wash and dry the roller, while with the broom we had to place it in the base and press a button to start cleaning the roller, also with hot water with subsequent drying. In addition, Z60 Ultra is able to separate dust and hair from liquids because it has a container for the “dry” and one for dirty water and liquids/semi-liquids.
X4 pro, insteadhas only the dirty water container where the hair, crumbs and dust that must be removed manually on the filter side where they are “captured” to separate them from the liquids. Less immediate operation of the emptying of the robot tank.
