Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on social media that he had recovered from prostate cancer. “Thank God, I’m fine,” the post read. The prime minister explains that he is “in excellent physical shape, and that he has asked to postpone the medical report for two months “so as not to allow the Iranian terrorist regime to spread more lying propaganda against Israel”.
The first health problems and the discovery of the tumor
The Israeli leader underwent prostate removal surgery at the end of 2024 for “a urinary tract infection resulting from a benign enlargement” of the genital gland. There was no shortage of speculation about his health. Now Netanyahu reveals his medical journey. “A year and a half ago – he explains – I underwent successful surgery for a benign enlargement of the prostate and since then I have been subjected to routine monitoring”.
“At the last check-up a tiny spot of less than a centimeter was detected on the prostate” reads the post. “The tests showed that it was a very early stage of a malignant tumor, without any spread or metastasis.”

“The doctors told me that it is very common in men my age, and that there were two options,” either to live with the small tumor, “and many do,” or “to undergo treatment and eliminate the problem.”
“You already know me” writes the Israeli leader again. “When they provide me with timely information about a potential danger, I want to address it immediately. This applies at a national level and also at a personal level. That’s what I did,” explains the prime minister. “I underwent a targeted treatment that eliminated the problem without leaving a trace.” “Thank God – he concludes -, I defeated this too”.
