WhatsApp, recommendations arrive on the platform: here's how they work

The controversial ones blue tickswhich were particularly disliked by many X users in the recent past, are ready to land on WhatsApp as well. Obviously, it will not be the already well-known double signal that appears to indicate the confirmation of reading a message, nor does it imply that it is necessary to pay to obtain it.

As often happens, the famous online portal is anticipating Meta’s next move WaBetaInfo: continuing along a path already traced at the end of September 2023, when the first rumors emerged, the programmers of the famous instant messaging app have specifically released the latest Beta version for Android, 2.24.14.18.

The update, at least for now, is not yet available to all Beta-testers, however the first confirmations have already arrived: also Whatsappjust like other social networks of the Meta group such as Instagram and Facebook, has chosen to introduce a new blue tick to indicate to all users the verified channels and activities. The already known green tick will therefore be supplanted, with the aim of also aligning the instant messaging app with the color choice already made by the main platforms managed by the Menlo Park giant.

This is a choice dictated by the need to make the appearance of the signal identical to be easily recognizable to all users regardless of the Meta application they are using. The blue tick will therefore be a guarantee of certified security, helping to easily define, without the possibility of misunderstandings, the profiles of people or companies that do not hide any kind of pitfalls: you will be able to navigate and interact without the fear of suffering identity theft. The decision to also replace the green verification badge with a blue tick on WhatsApp can also be seen as a reference to Meta Verifieda feature recently announced by Mark Zuckerberg and currently available only to some companies.

As announced by the experts at WaBetaInfo, the feature has not yet been released to everyone: for the moment it is available to some Beta-testers who are installing the latest WhatsApp beta updates for Android from the Google Play Store these days, but it will be distributed to a still larger number

more people in the coming weeks. Thanks to the feedback received, the novelty should soon be introduced to also align the instant messaging app with the color choices already made by the Meta world.
