The declaration of the Arab countries amazes and really constitutes an action with great international importance, especially if you look at what is the western approach on the matter: the European left is still playing on the Hamas issue today in order to crucify the government of Tel Aviv. In fact, while the Arab League tries to put a little pragmatism in a conflict that caused too much pain and too many victims, most of the European left continues to navigate exposed in a sea of ideologies and rhetoric, often unable to recognize a simple truth: with terrorists there is no possible peace. For this reason, the end of the conflict can only materialize with the surrendering surrender. And, think a little: before the various Bonelli and Fratoianni there has even been an organization that represents states where war rhetoric is often the favorite language for international relations!
Unfortunately, for many socialist exponents, Hamas remains a fascinating symbol of “resistance”, a magical word that as a spell transforms an organization that chooses violence daily into a sacrificial victim. This ambiguity is not simply a matter of language, but has concrete repercussions. Justifying or minimizing the use of violence by Hamas means in fact legitimizing an infinite cycle of conflicts that produces only death and destruction, without any real perspective of peace.
How can a state be recognized where the last elections have been won by a terrorist organization? The West daily forgets, or pretends to forget, the ascendant that Hamas has had and still has today inside the strip. And since peace is built with dialogue and not with bombs, there can be no mediation with a terrorist group that has been able to even disassemble the aqueducts given by the EU along the strip to build the frames of the missiles.
But this is a concept now really difficult to teach to those who prefer the unilateral condemnation of Israel and the attribution Loppide foul of the term “genocide” without ever facing the primary responsibility of violence.
In summary, while the great problem of Hamas on the strip had not even noticed the Arab League, the various progressive politicians and the dozens of UN observers continue to repeat every day, not even Guzzanti “ugly war!” (But come on?) And they go to sleep serene convinced that they had made their attempt to conclude the conflict.
