The research projects will be presented at the end of May and the best will receive the prize during days of the event which is held from 10 to 14 July in the name of art, culture and new technologies.

Events spread across the island will involve the population, tourists and guests in artistic journeys, talks and immersive experiences. The 2024 edition will reward three categories: contemporary art, digital technologies and universities which on this occasion will have to study solutions and new services in the field of mobility through research activities.

“Stromboli is an extreme island, characterized by extraordinary beauty but also by the fragility of the natural context and the difficulty of intervention. Here the challenges of sustainability are amplified at all levels.

The search for innovative solutions for mobility and sustainable transport in Stromboli will be a stimulus to explore new frontiers of innovation and creative excellence” explains the head of the research project of the Polytechnic of Milan Pierluigi Coppolafull professor of Transport Planning – Department of Mechanics.
