Responsible innovation, Sisal launches the Impact Beyond Borders project


Sisal strengthen at the level international one’s commitment in theResponsible innovation with Impact Beyond Bordersa project designed for enhance the talent of the startups Moroccan that is part of the Presence of Sisal in Moroccoconfirming attention in support local economic and entrepreneurial development with particular attention to young.

Thus, following the success model of Gobeylond – the innovation platform responsible for Sisal, whose Call for ideas has reached the eighth edition with over 2000 startups participating since its launch to date, making it one of the Startup Competition best known in Italy – Impact Beyond Borders turned to startups with aInnovative, sustainable, achievable business idea and capable of generate a positive impact on the community. Initiative was made possible thanks to the collaboration with Beentrepreneursan association that promotes growth opportunities for entrepreneurial talents of the African continent.

Impact Beyond Borders has already had a Very positive response with over 140 candidate projects and carefully evaluated by Sisal who has selected three ideas among the most promising. The winning startups they received, in addition to a economic supportalso a path of mentorship personalized, culminating in a Roadshow dedicated that it was Hosted on 17 and 18 February in the Sisal headquarter in Milan with the involvement of investors, partner companies and institutions, including Ice – Italian Trade & Investment Agency Agency; Ntt data; Alkemy; Angels 4 Women; Develop; LifeGate Way and Opes Italia.

These are the three realities that participated in the Milan Roadshow.
Plaveg: Startup that develops biodegradable materials based on agar-agar and food jelly, offering sustainable alternative to traditional plastics for packaging.
Deepleaf: Startup Agritech that uses artificial intelligence for real -time detection of crop diseases, improving the quality of crops and reducing the use of pesticides.
2PI Learning: Edtech Startup focused on the STEM education revolution in developing countries. The company offers engaging and gamified mathematics courses for children aged 8 to 11, combining proven pedagogies such as Singapore’s method with interactive videos, quizzes and educational games.

With Impact Beyond Borders – it is underlined in a note – Sisal confirms his commitment to support entrepreneurial ideas with a strong social impact, in Italy and abroad, offering opportunities for growth and international comparison.

The initiative strengthens the role of the company as reference point for Open Innovationcreating Connections between talents, investors and startup ecosystem in different markets.
