Watch out for updates Firefox. Anyone using this browser should hurry to update, because the security of the search engine is at risk. The warning was launched by Mozilla itself, the non-profit organization that created the first alternative browser. All users should update by March 14, 2025.
The risk is to encounter serious functionality problems. It seems that everything is due to a root certificate expiring, with the risk of causing a certain confusion, which unfortunately is not new in the history of the search engine, because something similar happened already in 2019. Root certificates are essential for the security of online browsing, so it is best to act promptly. Without these certificates, in fact, Firefox is not able to verify the authenticity of the web pages, or extensions, which could be deactivated for this very reason. They are also feared malfunctions of another type, even in those cases where verification is required. The streaming service for that DRM-protected content may also be at risk. Clearly the problem will affect all devices that use Mozilla Firefox. The only versions that should not experience problems are those running on iOS.
What to do to solve the problems? Mozilla technicians are suggesting that users of the browser proceed with the update as soon as possible.update. It would be necessary to update version 128 of Firefox, the one launched on 9 July 2024. By proceeding in this way it should be possible to correct the reported problem, as well as obtaining improvements in the field of navigation safety. So, on to the installation Firefox version 131.0.3already available to users.
