Once again the night in Kiev and neighboring cities is punctuated by the noise of sirens and explosions. Between 4 and 5 August there was another very heavy Russian raid. The provisional toll is 17 dead and 51 injured. Residential buildings were also hit and the victims were mainly civilians.

“The Kiev region once again suffered one of its most tragic enemy attacks tonight. Unfortunately, the Russian attack caused the death of 14 civilians,” Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kiev regional military administration, wrote on Telegram. Previously the Kiev authorities had reported the death of a woman and the wounding of at least twenty other people in the capital, but the toll was soon changed.
The Moscow version
Russia confirmed that it had carried out a “massive attack” overnight on Kiev and its region using missiles and drones, saying it had hit “transport, logistics and weapons distribution centres” facilities.
The Ministry of Defense specifies that in Kiev, among other things, the MLP-Chaika logistics center, used for the storage and distribution of drones, and the Nova Poshta logistics center were hit. Three more such centers were hit in Brovary in the capital region. The Russian ministry adds that three cargo ships carrying weapons and military equipment for Kiev’s troops were bombed in the Black Sea south of Odessa.
