Attention a recent update coming from Samsung. Apparently, in fact, it would be causing serious problems for the old devices of the Galaxy line, Galaxy S10 and Note 10. The devices, apparently, would suddenly freeze, and the only solution to be able to use them again would be a factory reset .
Samsung withdraws one of the updates
The online portal broke the news 9to5google.com. Apparently one of the recent ones updates released by Samsung would be causing problems for some older devices, effectively making them unusable. Samsung, like many of its competing brands, has worked hard in recent years to provide constant updates and improvements to owners of its devices. Among many things, also updates aimed at keeping older devices operational, ensuring the correct functioning of the operating system.
Unfortunately, one of the recent updates is causing some serious problems. Devices as of the series Galaxy S10 And Notes 10 they would be experiencing difficulties. There is even talk of blocked phones. According to news circulating online, a few days after the installation of the latest update, the devices of the Galaxy S10 series (S10, S10+, S10e, S10 Lite, S10 5G) and the Galaxy Note 10 series (Note 10, Note 10+, Note 10 5G). Problems also for the Galaxy M51 and Galaxy A90.
Apparently it’s a bootloopwhich prevents devices from turning on completely. The cause would be found in Samsung’s faulty update SmartThings Framework.
What to do
At the moment it seems that the only procedure capable of making the smartphone operational again is a restoration factory settings performed via Android Recovery. If we have a Galaxy S10, we need to completely turn off the device, hold down the Bixby and volume up buttons, and finally press the power button until you see the Samsung logo on the screen.
As for the Note 10 series, you need to press and hold the volume up and power buttons. Obviously these operations will lead to the loss of data inside the phones.
Apparently Samsung has withdrawn the update. The advice, in any case, is not to install it.
