Solovyev attacks Italy again (and also Mattarella): "Remember the words of your politicians"

Vladimir Solovyev spits venom against Italy (and its politicians) again. A script that repeats itself. The host of the Russia 1 television channel, as well as an oligarch close to Putin, had already made himself known outside the national borders for his “strong” opinions, but at least in Italy his face has become known to the general public for the insults aimed at Giorgia Meloni.

Now go back on the attack. And in the episode of his program entitled ‘Appeal to Italy – financiers of Nazism’, he targets the President of the Republic Mattarella (who had compared the Russian invasion in Ukraine to the project of the Third Reich) and the former Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, without naming them.

What Solovyev said

“Remember the statements of your politicians in office” says Solovyev, “when one of your politicians, like a minister, says of the supreme commander that ‘he is worse than an animal’ (this is the case of Di Maio, ed.), when your president compares our country to the Third Reich, you don’t understand what you are talking about”. “You, Italians, perhaps don’t know this – added Solovyov – but I want you to know about the shame of your grandparents and great-grandparents who came to this land to kill Soviet citizens. In Donbass you imposed the rule that for one Italian killed you eliminated 80”.

“You have not found the strength to recognize the bloody crimes of the Ukrainian Nazis,” the host continued. “I address you Italians, not to the people who could not have known, but to the leaders. You could not not have known. You leaders of France, Germany… you have raised Ukrainian Nazism, once again against the Soviet people: because we all come from the USSR”.

Solovyov then lashed out at EU leaders. “Yesterday they allocated another 90 billion (for Ukraine, ed.). The descendants of the Nazis applaud you… Ursula von der Leyen, Kaja Kallas, Mertz, Pistorius, Meloni, Macron, who are not descendants of De Gaulle, but of Petain”.
