Two new and interesting audio products arrive from Sonos: the Beam Ultra soundbar and the Ace Ultra headphones. Beam Ultra maintains the compact design of the Beam range while boasting Dolby Atmos compatibility, while the Ace Ultra headphones debut with a completely new driver, next-generation active noise cancellation and a direct connection to the Sonos ecosystem.
Sonos Beam Ultra
Beam Ultra boasts an acoustic architecture comprised of nine custom drivers. Among these, two dedicated up-firing drivers stand out, essential for delivering an authentic Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 experience, and warm and enveloping bass. The center channel has been completely redesigned to ensure crystal-clear dialogue, supported by four levels of voice optimization based on AI Speech Enhancement and Night Sound mode for late-night listening sessions.
Beam Ultra can become the center of a modular home theater system. The soundbar can be accompanied by a Subwoofer to emphasize the low frequencies and rear surround channels, also integrating compatible Sonos portable speakers.
Sonos Ace Ultra
The Sonos Ace Ultra are the brand’s brand new premium over-ear headphones, equipped with a custom 40 mm driver designed internally by Sonos, an adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) system managed by ten microphones and a battery capable of guaranteeing up to 35 hours of battery life with ANC activated. They also represent the first headphones based on the new Headphone Engine 2 hardware: a technology that allows them to be integrated into the home ecosystem.
Thanks to this innovation, all it takes is the simple press of a button to instantly transfer the audio playing on the Sonos system to the headphones, and a further touch to bring the sound back to the speakers, all in total autonomy and without the need to have your smartphone at hand.
Other functions
Trueplay technology calibrates the Beam Ultra’s acoustics to the specific shape of any room, while TrueCinema with Dolby Atmos performs the same optimization for the Sonos Ace Ultra when receiving the audio signal from a compatible soundbar.
Beam Ultra supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI eArc. Sonos Ace Ultra, in addition to Bluetooth 6 (Aac, Sbc and AptX codecs), adds USB-C inputs and the classic 3.5 mm jack.
Prices and availability
Sonos Beam Ultra and Sonos Ace Ultra are already available, in white or black, for pre-order. Market availability is scheduled for September 29, 2026, respectively at the suggested retail price of €699 for Beam Ultra and €449 for Ace Ultra.
