The Middle Eastern front is not calming down. On the contrary. If before all the attention was concentrated on Gaza, with the attacks of pagers and walkie talkies, with the response via missiles from Hezbollah, now it is Lebanon that is causing concern.
The explosion of pagers
The Party of God, whatever Nasrallah says, has taken the blow. And so have its allies. Ahmad Bahshaish Ardestania member of the security committee of the Iranian parliament’s Shura Council, said in recent days that there is a possible scenario according to which the crash of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi’s helicopter was caused by the explosion of a beeper. A member of the security committee noted that Iranian President Raisi also used the same pager in possession of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, so it is realistic that the helicopter crash was caused by the explosion of the pager. The Israeli press is talking about it, at the moment without confirmation: the news should be taken with a pinch of salt.
It is recalled from the recently published investigation results that the causes of Raisi’s helicopter crash were weather conditions and the inability to manage the excess weight he was carrying, as reported by the Iranian Fars agency. According to the report, two main factors caused the crash: the flight delay, caused by the president’s tight schedule, created more difficult weather conditions, and the high weight of the helicopter exceeded what was allowed by protocol. It also emerged that the helicopter was carrying two more passengers than permitted, which affected the pilot’s ability to control the aircraft.
Is Sinwar dead?
Even from Gaza there are reports, at the moment unconfirmed. So take them for what they are: rumors. In Israel, in fact, they are investigating the possibility that Sinwar was killed in the latest IDF strikes in the Gaza Strip. There is currently insufficient information to support this report, and there is a dispute within the security establishment over whether or not he was cut off from the line of command or even killed.
Israeli sources estimate that Sinwar may have been hit byIn one of yesterday’s attacks in the Strip, wounded but not killed. At the same time, some intelligence officials dispute this claim. It is not the first time, in fact, that the operational and political leader of Hamas is reported dead.
