In the United States, a video showing President Donald Trump closing his eyes during a briefing in the Oval Office of the White House has gone viral. The unexpected incident occurred while Lee Michael Zeldin, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, was speaking. In the video the tycoon appears to doze off and then wakes up a few seconds later.
Needless to say, the episode was a harbinger of mockery and memes, also because in the past Trump has often used the nickname “Sleepy Joe” towards Joe Biden, especially during the 2020 presidential campaign. However, from the White House they pointed out that there was no “nap”. In fact, as can be seen from the video, the US president only closes his eyes for a few moments.
