This time the polls weren’t completely wrong. They had expected a head-to-head between Trump and Harris in the 7 swing statesand so it was. But it was a one-way head-to-head, that is, with Trump ahead in practically all the swing states, except Arizona, where he appears to have lost.
With just a few hours left until the data for each individual state becomes official, the Republican candidate would have won in Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Michigan. Arizona instead sees Harris as the advantage for the moment. The data for Nevada is missing, which will arrive later.
The advantage in Pennsylvania and Georgia is currently more than four percentage points, even almost five in Michigan. The gap was smaller in Wisconsin and North Carolina. Wisconsin, in truth, is still in the balance. The above percentages will settle in the next few hours with a few points more or less for Trump, but statistically the result can no longer change. Ohio and Florida, as expected, were never up for debate and have already been assigned to Trump (even though for about half an hour during the night, Ohio seemed to be going towards the Dem candidate).
Donald Trump should bring home no less than three hundred electors.
But the salient, almost sensational fact is Trump’s probable victory also in the national popular vote. If this is confirmed, it is something that has not happened for twenty years, since the re-election of GW Bush in 2004.
In the last few weeks the media, both American and Italian, openly cheered for Harrisproving once again that he understood absolutely nothing about the suffering and silent American middle class, and even the working class. The elites lost and the people won.
Trump demonstrates that you can win even without having newspapers and television in your favor. Musk was enough for him.
