A weekend marked by the end of the holidays: many Italians return home for the resumption of work activities. Starting from 25 July, the start of the summer exodus, Anas recorded 203 million movements. Summer traffic is not concentrated only on weekends: mobility involves all week, with millions of Italians traveling every day. Two out of three movements take place on weekdays while the weekends remain the days of greatest turnout with a peak since the first weekend of July. The “intelligent” departures during weekdays contributed to distributing traffic, limiting congestion to the maximum, guaranteeing more comfortable paths. This is confirmed as the effectiveness of the stamps: many motorists have chosen to move on the days with lower traffic and so optimized times and safety. On the Anas network this weekend is expected to be constantly increasing for the return to the large cities of the Center-North: based on the estimates of the Anas road mobility observatory, 12 million and 255 thousand movements of motor vehicles are expected.
